Technical specifications, capacity, ownership, and other vessel particulars
Overview
Vessel Particulars API (a.k.a. MasterData API) returns comprehensive vessel details for one or more vessels specified by their IMO numbers.
- Identifier Required: IMO number
- Formats Supported: JSON or XML
- Query Limits: Unlimited
Data Fields Returned
Each API response includes:
- IMO number
- Ship name
- Flag state
- Detailed ship type (e.g., Bulk Carrier, Container Ship, LNG Tanker)
- Year built
- Shipbuilder
- Owner name
- Manager name
- Length
- Beam (width)
- Max draught
- Gross tonnage (GT)
- Net tonnage (NT)
- Deadweight (DWT)
- TEU capacity
- Crude oil capacity
- Gas capacity
Credits
This is a credit-based service, and costs depend on usage. To start using the API, all you need to do is pur
chase credits.
You are only charged for the data delivered.
Credits can be used for all credit-based services:
Vessels,
PortCalls,
MasterData,
Distance
The Master dataset costs 3 credits per vessel
Credit Prices
- 10,000 credits: 330 EUR
- 20,000 credits: 625 EUR
- 50,000 credits: 1470 EUR
All credits are valid for 12 months after purchase.
Prices do not include VAT.
Sample use case
You need the Master dataset for 10 vessels. The API delivers the data and charges you 30 credits (10 vessels x 3 credits each).
