The 99,778-DWT Maersk Londrina has suffered explosion in one of her cargo holds.
The incident occurred on April 25 about 700 nautical miles from Port Louis (Mauritius) while the containership was en route from Malaysia (Tanjung Pelepas) to Brazil.
Having been disabled by the fire, Maersk Londrina was drifting for a couple of hours before she managed to resume power and head to Port Louis.
The vessel arrived in the port on April 27 where the vessel was assessed for damage. No crew member was hurt in the incident. No further details were revealed.
Maersk Londrina (IMO 9527037) was built in 2012. The vessel is registred in Hong Kong and has a capacity for 8,700 TEUs.
