Symphony of the seas sea trial had to be postponed due to bad weather conditions. It eventually took place between Thursday the 15th and Sunday the 18th of February 2018.
This campaign allowed to present almost every on-board system in only one sea trial.
Currently, in its completion phase, the ship, which is the largest ever, will be delivered late March to the shipowner - Royal Caribbean International.
Over the 80 hours of sailing, Symphony of the Seas (see more at CruiseMapper) was able to cover 1,000 nautical miles (1852km) off Belle-Île island. During the trial, the full range of the ship’s systems were activated at sea, most of those being already adjusted and presented for commissioning both to the client and to the classification society.
Each and every expected performance was reached.
A second short sea trip will be necessary before the delivery to complete a few more nautical performances trials.
