On October 21, the 210,000DWT Newcastlemax bulk carrier Trust Melbourne, built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for ICBC Leasing was signed and delivered. The four series ships of the project came to a successful conclusion.

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding delivered 210,000DWT Newcastlemax bulk carrier to ICBC Leasing

Trust Melbourne is the last ship of the new shipbuilding cooperation project of four 210,000DWT bulk carriers signed by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, China Shipbuilding Trading and ICBC Leasing.

The 210,000DWT bulk carrier built by Waigaoqiao ranks first in the global market segment and enjoys a high reputation. The ship independently designed by Waigaoqiao has a total length of 299.88m, a width of 50.00m and a depth of 25.20m, ensures a speed of 14.5 knots, meets Tier III and HCSR specifications, and is classified into LR.

The successful delivery of Trust Melbourne also marks that Waigaoqiao completed the ship delivery task in 2021 two and a half months ahead of schedule: a total of 19 ships were delivered throughout the year, including 8 210,000DWT Newcastlemax bulk carriers, 3 114,000DWT Aframax product tankers, 3 114,000DWT Aframax crude tankers, 2 180,000DWT capesize bulk carriers and 1 CJ46, 2 JU2000 jack up drilling platforms.
